Our Park

Hales Hill Park has been established for many years and in 2019 was taken over by Ted and Belle Tyson who live on a free range egg farm south of York.

Hales Hill Park is a family run site on a working 70-acre farm where you can explore the riverbanks, paths, and meadows. We have 20 seasonal touring pitches and 30 static pitches. We also welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, RV’s and tents.

With over 70 acres to explore Hales Hill is a spacious and tranquil park to relax and unwind; it is perfect for all the family and dogs are most welcome.

Local Area

Hales Hill is ideally located close to the historic city of York, only 7 miles and about a 20 minute drive away, with its excellent shopping, its quaint medieval streets, York Minster and the Shambles, not forgetting its many museums and galleries there is plenty to do and see in this fantastic city.

Only slightly further afield are the magnificent Stately home of Castle Howard, Eden Camp, or to entertain the kids have a day out at Flamingo Land Theme Park and zoo.

Our Facilities

At Hales Hill Park all of our pitches have electric hook up and a nearby water tap. We have two toilet blocks with disabled access, showers and a separate pot washing area.

Our onsite playground was constructed in 2019 and we have recently installed WIFI.

The Club House is worth a visit with stunning views over the river, chilled beer pumps and a fully stocked bar. There is also water skiing, rough fishing, caravan and boat storage.

What our customers say

Blue swish graphic

The site owners were helpful and friendly. We arrived quite late and they rang to make sure we were ok and could find them. They took us to our pitch which was just next to a lovely park for our children to play on. We needed wood for our fire and they brought a bag for us. Payment was really easy, paid by card in the middle of the field!!

Toilets and showers were spotless and the site was really well looked after.

We absolutely would rebook!

Everything! Fabulous rural location, so quiet and peaceful. Hosts friendly and very welcoming. Toilets immaculately clean. We had the touring field to ourselves the first night so were able to pitch by the river. There is a club house adjacent (not part of the site) but we were invited to go for a drink. Will definitely go back when next in the area - perfect place to relax and unwind.

The site is very friendly and relaxed and the field were in was right next to river so was nice to see the boats going past. The owners are lovely and very accomodating too and we loved being able to use our little off ground fire pit to make the night cosy sat outside
